In this episode, I cover a crime in a remote state park in the late1970s on the TransAmerica Trail. This is easily the most gruesome wilderness crime I have covered. Two Yale University students planned to spend their summer cycling across the US.

But their trip came to a premature and traumatic end when they were attacked by an unknown axe-wielding maniac while camping at Cline Falls State Park.
