A Top Agent Confesses: I Did It All Wrong

In real estate, we are made to think we aren't successful unless we've won all the awards, sold all the houses, dominate our local market, and have our picture plastered everywhere with our arms folded in a power pose.    Raise your hand if that definition of success doesn't interest you?  (So many hands go up, mine did too) But it's hard to create a different picture of what success could look like when the messages from our industry, other agents, and even TV shows are all about how many houses you've sold and how good you look doing it.   My guest today said he bought into that definition of success at first too and only realized thirteen years into being a top agent that he was "doing it all wrong." Nowadays, his definition of success not only looks completely different but is something he can accomplish every day.
