American Gods episode 2 begins with the Old Gods recovering from what transpired at the end of episode 1. Shadow has been taken but Wednesday has a war to prepare for. As Shadow is tortured by the newly introduced Mr. Town, we get a view of his past and we learn what shaped Shadow as we know him. Laura and Mad Sweeney are hot on his tail while the New Gods are moving to increase their strength for this coming war.
