American Gods - 207 : Treasure of the Sun

We've complained before, both last season and this season, about a flashback heavy episode this late into the season... but oh boy did they nail it in this episode. American Gods simultaneously slows things down and picks things up as this episode dives into the past of our favorite leprechaun, Mad Sweeney. Looking at his glory days as a God King, we see Sweeney in his prime before he goes down swinging against team Wednesday at the hands of Shadow Moon, a warrior's death in comparison to his demise in the book.
