In this podcast, Drs. Adam Cuker, Holger Schünemann, Mary Cushman and Paul Monagle talk about new ASH Guidelines on VTE, an ASH project started in 2015 to develop 10 evidence-based clinical practice guidelines on the diagnosis and treatment of venous thromboembolism (VTE), in collaboration with the McMaster University GRADE center. Two of these 10 guidelines are now available for public comment, and these members of the panels urge you to provide your input by the deadline of August 25, 2017. Part 1 of the podcast features a conversation between Dr. Cuker and Dr. Schünemann, and Part 2 features Dr. Cushman conversing with Dr. Monagle. In this episode, Contributing Editor Ajai Chari, MD, a professor of clinical medicine and director of the myeloma program at the University of California San Francisco, talks with Pieter Sonneveld, MD, PhD, a professor of hematology at the Erasmus University of Rotterdam in the Netherlands. They discuss Dr. Sonneveld’s recent paper, “Daratumumab, Bortezomib, Lenalidomide, and Dexamethasone for Multiple Myeloma,” published in The New England Journal of Medicine.
