Born in America to a family of refugees from the Iranian revolution, Azadeh Moaveni has split her life between the middle east and the west. As a journalist, she has worked for publications like Time Magazine and the LA Times in cities like Tehran and Cairo, and her books include memoirs and deep investigations.
