Mark Hacking came from a highly successful and influential Mormon family in Salt Lake City Utah. His father was a prominent pediatrician, one brother was a doctor, one an electrical engineer and the other worked for the Department of Defense. So it wasn't any surprise when Mark himself was ready to accept his place next to his family legacy when he was admitted to Medical school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In July of 2004, he and his newly pregnant wife were set to move within days to North Carolina when Lori went missing and Mark's bed of lies was finally exposed.
