What’s the State of R&B and Where Is It Going with Nicci Gilbert-Daniels and SiMaya

We hear from Millicent St. Claire, who bravely shares her story of enduring abuse at the hands of her husband over 30 years ago. Millicent's journey took a tragic turn when she was convicted of voluntary manslaughter in the aftermath of defending herself. Despite the challenges she faced, Millicent has emerged as a beacon of hope and resilience. Today, she is not only an advocate for violence prevention but also a life coach, inspiring others to overcome adversity and strive for their best selves. 
We also hear from Ariel B., whose story reflects the struggles and triumphs of a more recent generation. Ariel found the courage to escape her abusive relationship and is now in the process of rebuilding her life.
