A Registered Nurse and Clinical Nurse Specialist in palliative care, Della’s had the privilege of caring for people with serious illness, those dying and their families for the past 30 years. She has contributed to systems of palliative care as an expert clinician, educator, and researcher. Della continues to work and teach in palliative care and is a family caregiver for her sister living with dementia and a caregiving support for her 92-year-old father and his wife. Living fully each day and being in service forms the rhythm of Della’s life. Her aim was to unite all Canadian targeted parents on social media to bring about changes to Canada's federal Divorce Act. Monique is a Calgary, Alberta native and the daughter of Dutch immigrants. She graduated from the University of Calgary with a BA in English in 2006 and has over a decade of experience as a technical writer in the male-dominated STEM fields.
