Covid-19 & Nursing, the Shortage, and Free CEs with Iman Abuzeid, MD of Incredible Health

Incredible Health is seeing a 10-15% increase in demand from hospitals on their platform looking to hire, this is specifically occurring in urban areas like SF and NYC where there are large clusters of COVID-19 outbreaks. Incredible Health recently announced results from the platform’s study of COVID-19’s impact on the nursing landscape and hospitals. Top findings include:Almost two-thirds (62%) of nurse respondents said their facility does not have the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to properly protect themselves from COVID-19A strong majority of nurses (59%) said they do not feel adequately supported by their facility to deal with the added stress of COVID-19Only 2% of nurse respondents said their facility was “very prepared” to deal with COVID-19Twice as many emergency department (ED) nurses were hired on Incredible Health in March compared to January and February, and 50% more ICU nurses were hired during that same timeframe, compared to roles in other departments such as the operating room (OR) and labor and delivery (L&D;)Speed to hire increased by 24%, going from 25 days in January and February to 19 days in March because of the immediate need for ED and ICU nurses.
