The Upstream Podcast was created to share our rich conversations about sending churches with the world. For anyone passionate about the overlap between God’s church & God’s mission, this podcast will be great food for thought. In this episode, Upstream co-founder and IMB Leader of Instructional Design, Caleb Crider, chats with Upstream director of content Zach Bradley about "cultural exegesis," a missionary skill addressed in Caleb's book, Tradecraft: For the Church on Mission. Cultural exegesis is a way of drawing out meaning from a culture so as to communicate the gospel in ways that can be heard and understood. Although the concept might appear to be complex and intimidating, Caleb unpacks it in such a way that any Christian may begin to exegete culture like a missionary.
