So, we will ignore some people for the moment, and see what scientists have said about science.

Because according to Galileo, Science is something in which

“…the authority of a thousand is not worth the humble reasoning of a single individual.”

The good thing about it? Says Neil deGrasse Tyson

“Is that it’s true whether or not you believe in it.”

“… is nothing more than a refinement of everyday thinking.” – Albert Einstein

“… is a way of thinking much more than it is a body of knowledge.” – Carl Sagan

“… gathers knowledge faster than society gathers wisdom.” ? Isaac Asimov

Ok that last one isn’t a scientist,

but he’s spot on considering how little wisdom is used in concert with science these days.

And, these days the words of Marie Curie may be the most prescient of all…

“Nothing in life is to be feared, it is only to be understood.

Now is the time to understand more, so that we may fear less.”
