
 昨天的南美之旅行程到达了阿根廷，第一次来到布宜诺斯艾利斯这座城市，惊讶于“南美巴黎”的优雅浪漫与奔放颓废的特殊气质。在街头看到了许多贝隆夫人的符号，也参观了贝隆夫人的墓地，于是今天的欢歌美语就 来听一首老歌--关于贝隆夫人的音乐剧Evita中的主题曲Don't Cry for me, Argentina.1. to the nine 达到完美 to the nine 英文意思为 perfection. dress to the nines 为某场合而着盛装

1. be bounded by 被束缚于 第一句歌词是一个问句How can one become so bounded by choices that somebody else makes?be bounded/bound by 被困于，被束缚在例句：A Harmonious Society Needs to Be Bound by Moral and Legal Ties  
和谐社会的构建需要道德与法律的双重约束be bound to do 注定做某事或成为“be bound to”是主观上的，人为的一种意念，在人思维逻辑的一种推理下，得出：嗯、这事儿势必会、一定会怎么怎么样，此外这个词组还带有义务的意思；
例如：西部大开发一定能成为沟通世界各国和中国的一座桥梁，促进中国和世界经济共同发展，共同繁荣。The Great Western Development is bound to be a bridge between China and the rest world, promoting the common economic development and prosperity of China and the world at large.
2. blow one's mind 让某人大为吃惊歌词中唱到When I was a child every single thing could blow my mindblow one's mind(away) 让某人大吃一惊
但什麼叫「它吹我的腦袋」？其實 blow 在這裡是「炸掉」所謂「把我的腦袋炸掉」是「讓我感到很震撼」的意思通常是你聽到一件以前從未聽說過的事，或是學到一個新知識時的反應它有很多變化形式比如可以變成形容詞 mind-blowing (令人震撼的)用在像是 a mind-blowing fact或是用被動語態 My mind is/was blown. (字面上：我的腦袋被炸開了)也可以簡單地說 Mind blown. (和上句意思一樣，比較簡化的說法)下次你學到一個新知識或知道一件沒聽過的事，又感到很震驚時就可以說 It’s blowing my mind!如果是過去得知的事就可以說 It blew my mind!有點類似中文說的「大開眼界」，但還要再驚訝一點
3. soak up 吸收（液体）歌词中唱到 Soaking it all up for fun but now I only soak up winesoak up 吸收液体 take in liquid soak的以及是浸透了，如果说 I am soaked. 被雨淋成落汤鸡。 
4. none the 一点也不歌词中唱到 But the higher we climb feels like we're both none the wisernone the wiser 不是什么智者, 还是不明白
none the + 比较级 = not... at all 全无，一点也不
5. get over oneself 不自以为是歌词中不断唱到So I hope I learn to get over myself, 这也是歌者最重要的人生态度。get over onself 英文的解释是stop thinking that you are so important; to stop being so serious.所以就是不要自以为是或不要太当真. 因此这句话也可以理解为学会与自己和解

1. Mr. Know it all 自以为是先生 歌名Mr. Know It All 可以翻译成”自以为是先生”或者“万事通先生”。
Know-it-all字面上的意思好像是全部都懂，但是它其实暗含贬义和讽刺。
Know-it-all is a person who thinks he or she knows everything.也就是表达那些自以为自己知道很多东西的人，自以为是的百事通。所以常用在贬义哦！英语例句：OK, if you're such a know-it-all, you try and do it, then.行吧，你要真是个“万事通”，那你去试，你去做呗。
2. bring someone down 打击，让某人难过歌词中唱到Well you like to bring me down, don’t ya?bring some down 有两个意思，一是打倒，击垮，二是make someone unhappy 让某人难过。这里显然是第二个意思。 
3. make a fool out of someone 让某人出丑make a fool out of someone = make fool of someone 让某人出丑联想到另外一个带fool的短语 Nobody’s fool字面意思就是“没有人的傻瓜”。看看英语解释：Someone who cannot easily be fooled, swindled, or taken advantage of，指的是那些不易被愚弄、欺骗或利用的人。因此，Nobody’s fool也就是精明机智的人，不易上当的人。
4. not know a thing about 对某事一无所知not know a thing about = not know the first thing about 对某事一无所知比如not know the first thing about……这个绝不可以理解为不知道第一件事，而是指对……一窍不通的含义。例：I don't know why you asked Rob.He doesn't know the first thing abou computer.若从字义上要了解这个词组，你可能直译为“不知道关于…的第一件事”。不过，你可能要把意思稍微扭转一下，“知道第一件事”其实是对事情最粗浅的了解，如果连对“某事最粗浅的了解”都没有，那么就是对某事“一窍不通”了。这句话的意思是"Rob对计算机一窍不通，搞不清楚你为什么要问他"。
5. get the world at one feet 极其成功，万众拥戴get the world at one feet 英文解释就是to be extremely successful and admired by a large number of people 极其成功，万众拥戴例句：Five years after her debut, the diminutive star of the Royal Ballet has the world at her feet.

1. ain't 万能否定  歌曲的名称是two out of three ain't bad. 三样当中有两样也不错。至于三个当中的两个到底指的是什么，歌词中会找到答案。这里我们着重说ain't.    如果你常看原版电影或者听英文歌曲的话，您很可能会发现ain't这个词在口语中很常用，但在正式的刊物中却很少看到。Ain't是以下词语的缩写：am not，is not，are not，has not，have not。简单来说就是一个万能否定词。   ain't只是一种非正式的口语说法，过去ain't只有在社会经济地位较低的人群中使用。受过良好教育的人是一般不会使用这个词的。现在没有那么明显了，美国人口语中常会出现ain't.   再有就是ain't经常用在双重否定里，例如后面歌词还有一句"But that ain't getting us nowhere"这里的ain't应为is not 的缩写。那么整句句子就变成"that is not getting us nowhere."从正式的英语语法来说，就是"That is getting us somewhere."的意思。然而这句话其实是强调不会有所进展。这样的一个用法更能说明原本使用ain't的人群往往对于正式的英语语法非常的不在意。
2. pour it on 全力以赴，大肆吹捧歌词中唱到I pour it on and I pour it outpour it on 1.全力以赴，卖力干用法及例句：
I was pouring it on, looking for a promotion.那时我卖力地工作希望能得到提升。2.尽力劝说，大肆吹捧用法及例句：
She was good, but was there any need to pour it on like that?她固然不错，但是有必要那样大肆吹榨叫？
3. pour it out 倾诉pour it out（尤指私下或秘密地）傾訴，傾吐 to tell all your problems or feelings to someone, especially privately or secretly例句：He spends every lunchtime pouring out his emotional problems to me and expects me to find a solution.他每次吃午飯時都向我傾訴感情問題，希望我給他想個解決辦法。
4. 修辞手法：Analogy 类比歌词中有一段很精彩的类比 Analogy ：You'll never find your gold on a sandy beach

Analogy是英语修辞的一种，通过对两种不同事物的比较找到当中相同的点。Analogy和simile, metapher都涉及到comparison，但不同点在于明喻和暗喻主要是通过生动的想象力增加比较的效果，而类比更多是通过比较达到在劝说和解释的功能，而且analogy的比较不讲究逻辑性更侧重情感面。

1. save sb from sth (doing sth) 使某人免于某事 歌词中唱到this year to save me from tears. 今年为了避免再次流泪伤心。save sb from sth (doing sth) 使某人免遭某事英文解释为To liberate or deliver someone  from a dangerous or threatening person, thing, place, or situation。例句：She managed to save the hostages from the gunman without anyone getting hurt.她成功地从枪手手中解救了人质无人受伤。
2. once bitten twice shy 一朝被蛇咬十年怕井绳有了last Christmas的糟糕经历，歌者今年对于感情的态度就是once bitten, twice shy
 “once bitten, twice shy” 的意思是 “在第一次做某件事情时，有了不愉快的经历，因此第二次再做时会害怕、小心或忧虑”，类似于汉语里说的 “一朝被蛇咬，十年怕井绳”。例句：Since Debbie broke up with her boyfriend, she’s become very cautious about starting a new relationship. It’s a case of once bitten, twice shy.
自从黛比和男友分手之后，对于开展新的恋情就变得很犹豫。真是一朝被蛇咬，十年怕井绳。
3. wrap it up 打包，结束歌词中唱到包礼物的时候用到了wrap it up ① wrap up 打包Would you please wrap up the leftover for me?
② wrap up 结束I will wrap up my speech with a joke. 
4. rely on sb 依靠某人歌词中唱到I thought you were Someone to rely on Me?rely on sb 依靠某人英文里还有另外两个依靠的短语分别是depend on 和 count on，这三个短语的侧重点并不相同。depend on着重指客观事实，诸如能力、财力等不得不“依靠”或“指望”; rely on常侧重从人品、感情方面“依赖”“信赖”。count on更着重强调指望的意思。例如:
1）My wife and children depend on me.我的妻子和孩子都得依靠我。2）One can always rely on him to be polite and do the right thing.人们都相信他会彬彬有礼，行事得体。3）I'll count on it.我就指望它了。
5. a shoulder to cry on 倾诉的对象中文里我们会说：“能借你的肩膀用一下吗？”这是口语会话中向对方寻求安慰的一个常见说法。而在英文里，“a shoulder to cry on 可以依偎着哭泣的肩膀”的含义和上面提到的说法相近，意思是“愿意倾听苦衷、提供慰藉的人”。例句Just so you know - if you ever need a shoulder to cry on, I’m around.
顺便说一声，如果你需要找个人倾诉苦衷，我随时可以来到你身旁。
6. tear sb apart 使某人肝肠寸断歌词中唱到A man under cover but you tore me apart。tear sb apart 使某人非常难过，肝肠寸断例句：Seeing her so upset really tore him apart.
