This week we’re talking about grief and creating a registered charity in midlife. My guests are Justine Silver and Eileen Jadd, founders of Good Grief: Bereavement Healing Services in Toronto, ON Canada. Justine and Eileen are sisters who were both looking for a way to make an impact and give back in some meaningful way when they were in their 40s. When Justine’s husband passed away unexpectedly at only 44 years old, they became extremely aware of how difficult it was to navigate the system for help when grieving. Together, they decided to do something to improve the situation and created a registered charity that promotes health for grieving adults by providing referrals to essential healing support services, including healthcare professionals, educational programming, and community resources.
