What if I gave you a behind the scenes look at everything that goes into terminating a CEO?

Well, in this episode, that’s exactly what I’m going to do!

In this episode, I’m giving you a little sneak peek of what the Board of Directors must consider when terminating a CEO with or without cause, why reviewing the employment agreement is critical, how they come up with crazy big severance packages, and how you tell your employees you just sacked the CEO.

It’s a straight forward rundown of the complex separation process between the company and the CEO, as well as looking at some notable terminations in 2019.

Today’s Q & A is from a member in our Next Gen Women in HR Facebook Group and is based on an article I posted on LinkedIn last week. The article discussed the recently enacted New Jersey law, which is first of its kind in the nation, requiring employers to guarantee severance pay after mass layoffs (click here to read it yourself).

Now, be sure to head to our Next Gen Women in HR Facebook Group, join in the conversation, andask your #brendathehrlady questions! I can’t wait to hear them.
