Why do you nurse? Really. Have you thought about it lately? How come you are in nursing and why do you do the job of a nurse? This next interview will have you reflecting on your “why” in your nursing career. A few take aways from our interview with Ashley include: How an experience working during a hurricane in NYC can be the most successful thing you do as a nurse; What a nurse journalist means for the profession of nursing; And why realizing there is a whole person in front of you as a patient can impact the way you show up in your career! Ashley Pofit Miller, RN, BSN, PCCN is a graduate nursing student in Denver, CO with 6 years of experience as a registered nurse in telemetry, medical-surgical, cath lab, step-down ICU, and clinical education.
