Continue the species - Being a parent, guardian or teacher, finding love and courtship.

Master our mind (Personal development) - Philosophy, Psychology, Education and even media, i.e. teaching something to someone.

Master our environment - Creating or working at business, protecting your environment, advances in science, making a home, gardening and preventing illness or accidents.

Increase our satisfaction - Doing things that bring you joy or expand you i.e. finding community in religion, learning about or creating a culture, and experiencing and appreciating art.

This shows that you have influence and meaning just through your regular lives.
