Episode 98 of The Golden Mic Podcast is possibly the most anticipated Event-Cast ever, featuring audio interviews and commentary from the 2018 Feet on Fire South, which took place on May 23rd in Orlando, Florida at the Waterfront Restaurant on Lake Jennie Jewel. Some of the biggest names in towed watersports came to compete or watch as competitors took to the warm central Florida waters in hopes of capturing one of the most sought-after titles in wakeboarding: the Feet on Fire Endurance Barefoot Champion. The contest is a 32-man, head-to-head single-elimination tournament where athletes compete to see who can stay on their feet the longest, while the boat drives in counter-clockwise circles at 42.5 mph. Pro wakeboarder JD Webb made history becoming the first ever three-time Feet on Fire champion.

Robert Absher is a historian with the Wake Sports Hall of Fame. Robert has hundreds of boards on display in his home museum, a temporary home for the collection until a proper brick and mortar location is built. He welcomed Dano to his museum in March 2021 for a full tour and to talk about the history of the sport.
