Ashdin explains how the first step to this is getting through the 5 stages of grief, and understanding that what one is grieving is the possible future because the relationship has been lived and the past is full of memories that can be cherished for a lifetime and is something nobody can take away. He suggests learning from the relationship, leaving the bad baggage, holding on to good memories, and moving forward.
