In this episode, I reflect on the pressure to start fresh in the new year and share insights on how to make the most out of 2024. Personally, I found several practices beneficial in 2023, such as indulging in ice baths, saunas, and engaging in weekly debriefs with my spouse. Sprinting, hot yoga, seeking guidance from mentors and advisors, losing weight, giving back to family, traveling, savoring great food and wine, socialising, and prioritising a healthy sex life were also key components that contributed positively to my year. Conversely, I learned from experiences that did not serve me well. This included not planning my day effectively, saying yes to too many commitments, dealing with constant context switching, engaging in non-reciprocal relationships, avoiding tough conversations, seeking happiness externally, battling restlessness, getting caught up in details, and more. As we step into the new year, I share essential principles to guide the journey ahead. Locking in moments of fun, establishing a solid foundation for exercise, exploring interests beyond work, delving into the nuances of sexuality, being intentional about personal style, and practicing honesty. The overarching theme is to focus on personal growth and strive to surpass the person I was yesterday.
