She co-founded and serves as CEO of Plaid for Women, Inc., a digital media company with a blogging platform focused on women to help them achieve goals, get connected and be heard. 
Plaid for Women assets include an online magazine - PlaidforWomen.com; Plaid for Women Radio; short form video and LIVE, monthly chapter meetings. Plaid launched their #nomeangirls campaign in 2015. 
In 2007, Shivaun was honored as a “Great Woman of Texas—Woman of Influence” by the Fort Worth Business Press and nominated as a Woman to Watch by the Dallas Business Journal. She currently serves on the board of directors for Girls, Inc. of Tarrant County.
