On this episode of They Walk Among America… It’s hard to imagine a more terrifying scenario for parents than someone breaking into their home and harming their children. If the worst happens, we can only hope that the people responsible for catching the perpetrator are pursuing the truth, no matter how unlikely it seems. In some cases, it’s more palatable to those investigating to believe that the blame lies with the people closest to the victim, and often easier to make the evidence fit a theory than to form a theory from the evidence. While more and more cases are being solved retrospectively through advancements in forensic science, some wrongs can never be righted because of procedural and prosecutorial errors. Sometimes justice can never be served...
