In November 1993, a man named Paul Onions called a tip in to the Australian task force working to find a serial killer in New South Wales. 6 months later, Ivan Milat would be arrested, and when police raided his home, what they found in the walls and ceiling implicated him in the 7 backpack murders. In part 2 we talk about how Milat was connected to the crimes, his trial, and what happened after his conviction.

In February 2010, the 4 members of the McStay family - Joseph, Summer, Gianni, and Joseph Jr. - disappeared from their home in Fallbrook, CA. For the next several years, many believed they were voluntarily missing, but their family was sure they had met with foul play. When their bodies were found in November 2013, investigators revisited some suspects they initially talked to, but the man they ended up charging with the murders maintains his innocence to this day.

While no one has ever been charged in the case, one suspect who directly lead police to the last victim’s body is believed to be the killer. But unfortunately, Vicki Purdy, Regina Sakamoto, Denise Hughes, Louise Medeiros and Linda Pesce have never gotten justice.

She had been at odds with her family and hanging around an unsavory group of teenagers at the time of her disappearance. On November 22, 1997, Reena was found, unveiling a dark and unimaginable reality. Even the authorities were stunned by the ghastly account of what transpired beneath the Craigflower Bridge.
