Kelce Brothers Fairytale of Philadelphia Hits #1 with Help from Swifties

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and his brother, former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, have collaborated on a charity Christmas song called “Fairytale of Philadelphia.” It’s a remake of the classic “Fairytale of New York” by The Pogues. Since its release two weeks ago, the song has shot to number one on both the Rock Digital Song Sales and Holiday Digital Song Sales Billboard charts.Travis credits the song’s success to support from pop star Taylor Swift’s fanbase, known as “Swifties,” as well as from Swift herself, who happens to be Travis’ girlfriend. Meanwhile, Taylor currently sits at number one on Billboard’s Artist 100 chart, showing her own continued music chart dominance.The proceeds from the Kelce brothers' Christmas song collaboration will go to children's charities in Philadelphia. It’s the lead single from their 2022 charity holiday album “A Philly Special Christmas Special,” following up on the success of their 2021 charity album. Their goal is to help spread holiday generosity while showcasing their unexpected music talents.
