Last week’s lesson was a bit depressing. The requirements for approaching God were impossible to keep but because God is merciful and gracious, He provided a way for the people of Israel to come to Him admitting that they were sinners and also providing a way of escape from judgment. The Ten Commandments were meant to show the Israelites that they could never approach God on their terms. He wanted them to realize that in order to please God, they had to come to Him on His terms alone. This lesson will move us ahead in the story and show us the way God chose to have Israel approach Him. It will also reveal His holiness and mercy.

We have finished with the first step of God’s redemptive plan. There is more but we are going to take a break in order to consider what the next steps will be in revealing the rest of His plan. Also, I will give you my final thoughts for now. Enjoy.

Lesson 083 - Final Thoughts

What more could be said than was said in the last lesson. The work of redemption was complete, God's promises were fulfilled, God won and Satan lost, as usual. So is this the end of the story? Not by a long shot.Jesus had fulfilled all that His Father wanted Him to do but He was not finished yet. There was one more objective to accomplish and it was going to include another group of people. Let's see what He had in mind.
