Corey Rennell who is the founder and CEO of CORE Foods. CORE Foods started in Oakland California as a healthy organic kitchen with fresh plant-based ingredients but in 2015 transitioned into producing their own product line which is the CORE Meal Bar. You can find them at any whole foods nationwide, and they are incredibly nutritious and great tasting. I actually have been eating them regularly for breakfast and after workouts, and encourage to try one ASAP. Time Magazine featured CORE Food Bars in the article “5 of the Healthiest Granola Bars, According to Nutrition Experts,” and the article quotes one nutritionist saying the CORE Foods Bars is the best choice for the consumer. One indicator of their nutrition is you will find them refrigerated at the store because they are perishable. CORE Food Bars are made of all organic, local, and fresh ingredients. The company is also a not-for-profit, and all net proceeds go to charity. At their headquarters, CORE Kitchen, they hire formerly incarcerated employees to help them get back on their feet and make a real living. As you can see Corey is on a mission to bring healthy food to the world while helping the community and planet. The inspiration for the meal bars and CORE Foods came from when Corey got put on the reality TV show “Last Man Standing” with the BBC and Discovery Channel. Corey and 5 semi-pro athletes lived with 12 different tribes around the world. Corey took the nutrition and values from each tribe he lived with and has applied it to his life and business.
