This is our 2nd 2015 50th Anniversary D-35, but this particular model (D-35E limited edition) comes with a Fishman Aura pickup, and a swirly 3-piece back. Beautiful guitar and huge sound to celebrate 50 years of the classic D-35!

Martin’s Description: To celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the iconic D-35 model, the D-35E 50th Anniversary Limited Edition features a European spruce top with Vintage Tone System (VTS) combined with East Indian rosewood sides and back wings with an organic East Indian rosewood wedge and maple bindings. The organic wedge is also inlayed on the East Indian rosewood headplate. A black ebony fingerboard and bridge, and Fishman Aura VT electronics complete this model that commemorates an important milestone in Martin Guitar’s history.

The new Martin Vintage Tone System (VTS) uses a unique recipe that is based on the historic torrefaction system. The VTS acts much like a time machine in which Martin can target certain time periods and age the top/braces to that era. This focused method allows Martin’s craftsmen and women to recreate not only the pleasing visual aesthetics of a vintage guitar, but also reproduce the special tones previously reserved for vintage instruments.
