Hey Jeff Coga here,

I have a question for you...

What does Kimye (Kim + Kanye)...

And these companies (see below) have in common?

Do you have your answer yet!?!

If you guessed, they're all well-known brands... you're right!

You can love or hate "Kimye" but they are a power couple that are known by bajillions of people (yes, I made up that word). The power and social influence these two people have is what gives them power. This super power is what we call social equity.

What is Social Equity and Why Is It Important?

Social equity is the perceived value of individual, organization, or brand reputation and following online. This value increases or decreases based on the online buzz and conversations that take place across the various social media channels on the internet which ultimately transcend to the offline world.

This is the reason why I constantly tell people to grow your own social equity (brand their name) because companies come and go, while your own personal brand will be around for a long time. It is now VERY difficult to make a multinational brand. The reason is: market forces. The big boys won't let you in, period. It's far more easier now to build a personal brand and use the influence to parlay that into other opportunities. Social equity is even more important because everyone 'googles' every one these days. People don't trust companies and people want to work with an individual.  I'm sure if you're reading this blog you're probably wondering who I am and what special skill or knowledge I have to even speak about the topic of "marketing".

I don't have any qualifications other then respecting Kim's game.  I couldn't find another video game voice-over 'reality-tv star/model' ever making $85,000,000. #RESPECT #GAMERECOGNIZESGAME
