UConn obliterated Marquette over the weekend behind a balanced offensive attack and while holding Tyler Kolek in check. Meanwhile, Purdue lost in Columbus to Ohio State on Sunday. How would the Buckeyes respond to losing their coach? Knocking off the top team in the nation isn’t a bad way to handle business. Consequently, it’s no longer a debate: Danny Hurley’s Huskies are the definitive No. 1 team. In a ranked-on-ranked SEC matchup, Kentucky went down to Auburn and reminded us all of their talent. But neither of those teams leads the SEC: That honor goes to Alabama. Thanks to wins over the weekend Houston and Iowa State remain tied atop the Big 12 (although that will be untangled on Monday night). Much more action around the country and we also say goodbye to coaching legend Lefty Dreisell.
