Not Belgium

Belgium beers are sought out because of they've been brewed the same way for centuries. But you don't need to go all the way there to experience these styles of beer. Instead, look to your local brewery for great examples. Many of the breweries in the US (or anywhere else for that matter) see this style as the pinnacle of brewing. So there are lots of beers to try.

Beers on the show:

Lost Abbey Judgement Day, Brewery Ommegang Three Philosophers, Allagash Curieux, Russian River Damnation, North Coast Brother Thelonious, Dog Fish Head Midas Touch, Avery Fifteen.

Homework:

Try a local "Belgium Style" beer. Get some random local beers with names like tripple, double, lambic, etc. Then invite your friends over for a tasting.
