Fred's making progress in Trek to Yomi, finally diving into Chapter 3. Meanwhile, Jake's game update is TBD.
No listener questions this time around, but let's jump into the news. Studios like Tango Gameworks and Arkane Austin, along with others within Bethesda, are facing layoffs. Helldivers 2 faced a review bombing on Steam due to a PSN requirement imposed by Sony, but after retracting the requirement, the game received over 200k positive reviews and even released a cape commemorating the incident. Media Molecule's co-founder hints that their new project is more game-oriented than a tool. Hades 2 is in early access, impressing players with significant improvements over its predecessor. Unfortunately, Warhammer 40K 2's PvP multiplayer hasn't been confirmed yet, but leaks suggest exciting developments. X Defiant, developed by Ubisoft, is set to release this month.
In a disappointing turn, Deliver Us Mars developer Keoken Interactive had to lay off their entire team due to a lack of publishing options. PS Plus Essentials games include titles like EA Sports FC 24, Ghostrunner 2, Tunic, and Destiny 2: Lightfall. Plus, Returnal: Fallen Asteria TPB comic is set for release on October 23, 2024. New games hitting the scene include The Prisoner of the Night, Animal Well, Crow Country, Gift, Imagine Earth, Pac-Man Mega Tunnel: Battle Chomp Champs, and Rainbow Cotton.

Fall In for Fallout

Welcome to another episode of PS THIS IS AWESOME, your PlayStation podcast. This is Episode 323, where we delve into the current state of PlayStation.

Rumor has it, PlayStation might be cooking up some surprises with smaller exclusives dropping by the end of the year. Astro Bot fans, keep your fingers crossed! And mark your calendars for June 10, 2024, because Ubisoft Forward is coming in hot. Plus, whispers in the wind suggest a PlayStation State of Play might be on the horizon in May.
Oh, and if you're a fan of hip hop and Beat Saber, you're in luck! There's a fresh mixtape featuring some of the greatest rap artists of all time. And of course, what's a podcast without some new game releases? April 10th sees the arrival of Broken Roads, House Flipper 2, and SokoFrog. April 11th brings Let's!
