The 2024 NBA draft withdraw deadline has passed and college basketball retained many key stars - including UConn's Alex Karaban, Alabama's Mark Sears, and Arizona's Caleb Love. More surprising were the returns of Hunter Sallis to Wake Forest and Payton Sandfort to Iowa, keeping even more star power in the game next season.

Today is Wednesday, May 29, a.k.a. NBA Draft Early Entry Withdrawal Deadline Day. The deadline is set for 11:59pm ET and there are still multiple big names on the board that need to make a decision, but JT Toppin has already he announced he is returning to college. He won’t, however, be headed back to New Mexico. Instead, the rising sophomore will join Grant McCasland’s Texas Tech Red Raiders. KJ Simpson (Colorado) and Jonathan Mogbo (San Francisco) are both staying in the draft. Villanova finally got some good news in the form of leading scorer Eric Dixon deciding to return for a sixth year of college. The same goes for Wes Miller and Cincinnati who get Aziz Bandaogo back. News dropped on Memorial Day that Trevon Brazile is planning to pull out of the NBA Draft and return to college. The only question is…which school? Brazile could return to Fayetteville and new coach John Calipari. The Hogs have only used eight of their 13 scholarships and could really use a nice Power Forward. Brazile would fit just perfectly. But if he doesn’t want to come back to Arkansas, there will be no end of suitors lining up for Brazile’s services. With under 48 hours left to the NBA Draft withdrawal deadline, why are so many players still undecided? Also, Andy Patton and Isaac Schade say goodbye to the legend, Bill Walton.

Trevon Brazile is back...but where's he headed? | Why are players taking so long to decide on NBA? | RIP Bill Walton

News broke on Sunday evening that DJ Wagner is headed to Fayetteville, Arkansas to join Coach John Calipari and his Kentucky teammates Zvonimir Ivisic and Adou Thiero (plus the incoming freshmen of Boogie Fland, Karter Knox, and Billy Richmond. Will Wagner give the Hogs the point guard skill set they need? Perhaps, but the Hogs should target one with one of their five remaining scholarships. 

Chaz Lanier, last season’s most efficient scorer per Synergy, has committed to Tennessee over Kentucky and BYU. The move further elevates Rick Barnes team and gives them a dynamic scorer, similar to what they had last year with Dalton Knecht.
