Welcome back to the Psalms for Summer’s End podcast series! These episodes are some of my personal favorites that were previously released to my patron audience only and now we’re making them available to YOU! I hope that as we all anticipate the turning of the season that these truths will encourage and strengthen us along the way! Today you’ll hear all about our family’s FIRST trip to Lost Valley Ranch, a place–as many of you know–that would become a refuge for our family these past five years! It was when the Lord awakened us once again to wonder. Who-even-knew how a lope through a creek, on a horse, could change my life forever!  We’ll be in Psalm 8 together today remembering the majesty and mindfulness of God in the way that He made us and blessed us at Creation! Looking to His Word together has a way of clearing our view like nothing else can. Psalms For Summer's End - Psalm 8

The Glorious in the Mundane, inspires listeners to fully embrace what God has placed right in front of them, knowing that He can meet them anytime and anywhere. As it turns out, the seemingly small things in life are sometimes the most significant of all.

It has been SO beautiful to get to share these songs (and stories behind the songs!) but most importantly, the truth imbedded in them! Today we are going to look at “For Your Splendor,” a new version of a tried and true song that is deeply personal to me. I’d even venture to say that it’s quintessential when it comes to my sound and heart as a worshiper! It is from Isaiah 61, and we’ll come around the vital posture of being planted in the Lord, and staying deeply connected to Him at our roots! Season 9 Episode 7 // For Your Splendor

I have LOVED this spring series so much! God has been reminding me of truth that He set in my heart, so long ago, knowing that I would need that truth to wash over me again, TODAY! We are going to remember together, that God always knows where to find us. Though there’s much temptation to just skip being made in the secret place (especially when we see the world around us charging forward!) God is preparing us, protecting us and will promote us when we wait in trust for Him. 

We will also look into the connection of God’s presence being one of the central ways that we are able to remain in the love of God, as Jesus commanded us. It’s going to be a beautiful time to even receive His love over us once more! I’ll talk to you soon!  Listen to 'You Revive Me'

Season 9 Episode 6 // Be Loved

Today we are celebrating the release of another EP called “Knees to the Earth,” which is the next three songs from the "Live from Keeper's Branch" album  that we are unfolding this spring! Not only are these songs so sacred to us, many of them have very sacred stories behind them and today’s song emphasis, “Knees to the Earth,” is definitely one of those kind of stories! You don’t want to miss it!  And you know me, it’s never just about the song or its story, but it’s always about the truth that’s set in them! Today we’ll keep coming around what it looks like to bloom where we are planted, even when it’s hidden and hard! We’ll encourage each other in waiting on the Lord, as we also learn to look for the ways He is speaking to us, leading us and is with us, as we’re being “made” in the secret! I’ll talk to you soon! Season 9 Episode 5 // Knees to the Earth

Okay so…somehow this episode got really personal! Did I actually just reveal what I want my “Grandma” name to be, someday?  Or, maybe it feels personal because this song, “Lord, I Need You”, that we’ll come around today, is very dear to me! I’ll talk about being a part of writing it around a table of dear friends, who have been more like brothers to me. But, I’ll also give you some insight into being the only woman at that table, and in that community, for a very long time. It was both a privilege and a pruning ground that God used to grow me as a woman, songwriter and leader.  I’ll also begin a narrative that I’ll carry throughout some of the other episodes this spring, about the very beginnings of God calling me to songwriting and worship leading. Rather than doors flying open and me, running with momentum, it was more a still—even sometimes silent and hidden—beginning. It was more that God had given me a deposit and a promise of something that was to come. Season 9 Episode 4 // Lord I Need You

I am so excited to continue this spring series, coming around my new EP,  “You Revive Me”, available everywhere you listen to music! Y’all know me by now, that these songs are simply a diving board for us to plunge into the deep together! Into the glorious things of God…right in the middle of our mundane! Today we will do just that, as we come around the beautiful offering that each of us have to bring, in worship of our King. In each episode, we’re taking the time to put into practice the truth we’re remembering together. 

Today we’ll ask God to help us visualize— and therefore, hopefully value— the offering that our lives and hearts truly are to Him!
