On the 7th-9th of January, 2018,  Affiliate Summit West is happening in Vegas. Now, if you are on the east coast of the U.S., this might not be convenient. But no o worries. There is a second one that happens in NYC. They are even doing one in London, so it’s accessible.

What the Heck is Affiliate Summit West?

The easiest way to really see what you get at Affiliate Summit West is to visit their site. But let me give you on inside peek because I attended it for the first time last year.

Access – There are several options. I got the VIP pass last year and had access to it all: he exhibits, the ‘meet market,’ the sessions, special networking events and of course, some fine buffets. As a VIP, you get some other perks as well.

But you can also get a networking pass that gives you access to the exhibitors, meet market and the keynotes. And the networking plus pass gives you access to six sessions plus the videos.

So it really depends on what you do and what your goals are.

Networking – This is probably the most powerful piece of the equation. No matter the level of your pass, you will connect not only with hundreds of like-minded peeps, but also some potential partners, depending on which side of the fence you are on. As an affiliate marketer, you may want to take advantage of the meet market.  Affiliate programs and networks have tables set up to meet with you to discuss their offers and cut deals. It’s a way to really get some face time with some potential affiliates out there.

Who Attends AWS – All I can say is a heck of a lot of diverse people with from all kinds of fields. You will not only meet some very interesting individuals, or find new connections, but you will be amazed at how deep affiliate marketing goes. Did you know that some credit card companies even have affiliate programs?

And of course affiliates attend as well. So if you are just starting your affiliate program, what better event to attend than ASW?

What is BobWP Doing at Affiliate Summit West?

Well, as you may know, I’m big on affiliate marketing, so that piece is a no-brainer.

And of course, like any conference or (WordCamp) I go to, meeting new people and building relationships is always a high priority.

The other piece is that this year I am attending with a Press Pass. So I will be blogging, reporting, maybe even doing some Facebook Live stuff. You know, the roving BobWP. I also will be bringing the BobWP Monetizer Podcast to Vegas.

And you will find me at the WPEngine booth. 

One of the days, I will be hanging there with my mics, looking for people to interview. I want to make sure to have some fun so who knows what I’ll be asking people. This isn’t any kind of formal sponsorship with WPEngine but simply a home base where I can sit and do the show. Of course, the fact that I can hang with my friends from WPEngine is another advantage for sure.
