063: Sophie Jeffery from Sophie Plans Stuff

Sophie is a mother, a writer, a military spouse, and a planner addict! She sells washi samples and other planner accessories on etsy at Sophie Plans Stuff, and writes somewhat consistently over at Sophie Makes Stuff.

We love getting to chat with women about what success means to them. Ever week we get to share with our listeners a new perspective about what success means to an amazing woman.

Sophie shares with us what her definition of success is. We think we all should strive for this!

"When I'm 85 years old I just want to look back on my life and be proud of what I did."

Sophie is in the middle of a major family transition.  She has spent the last 10 years having children at home and making her priority taking care of them. With all of her kids in school Monday - Friday from 8am- 2pm she has time for herself!

"For the firs time in almost a decade my days are mine."

This means Sophie is really able to sit down and focus on the dreams and goals she wants to accomplish. One of those being writing a novel.  Sophie shares with us the desires she has to work on projects she often put on the back burner in years past.

We also talk a lot about making sure you make time for yourself.

"As a mom and a wife sometimes we get wrapped up in doing all of the things everyone else needs us to do. We forget to do the things that we want to do."

We also talk about military life, making the best out of not so stellar situations, like living in a town you don't love but still being able to see good in the situation.
