Today on Dough Roller, we are talking with Scott Young! Scott Young is an author, entrepreneur, computer programmer, and host of The Scott Young Podcast. Scott has started and kept up a wildly popular blog since he was 18 years old, and most notably has completed some amazing learning challenges, such as the MIT Challenge where in just one year he learned the entire curriculum of MIT’s computer science major without taking any classes, and The Year Without English where he set out to learn 4 different languages over the course of one year.
Scott’s first book Ultralearning, is a Wall Street Journal Best-Seller, and in 2012 he gave a TEDX talk about his approach to learning and his time at MIT, which has been viewed over half a million times. He has written over 1000 articles on everything from holistic learning to finding the meaning of life. Scott is a master of self-teaching and learning, and an exemplary multi-hyphenate scholar.
In this episode, we talk about Scott’s journey with his learning challenges, including his infamous time with the MIT challenge.
