Mary Stauffer and her 8 year old daughter Beth were abducted after leaving a hair salon on May 16, 1980. They were held for the next 53 days by someone from Mary’s past who was was an absolute monster for all he did to Mary, Beth, and a 6 year old boy named Jason Wilkman. Thankfully, Mary and Beth made a brave escape and their abductor, Ming Sen Shiue had to face justice - but not before making one last effort to stop Mary from testifying against him.

In February 2010, the 4 members of the McStay family - Joseph, Summer, Gianni, and Joseph Jr. - disappeared from their home in Fallbrook, CA. For the next several years, many believed they were voluntarily missing, but their family was sure they had met with foul play. When their bodies were found in November 2013, investigators revisited some suspects they initially talked to, but the man they ended up charging with the murders maintains his innocence to this day.

While no one has ever been charged in the case, one suspect who directly lead police to the last victim’s body is believed to be the killer. She had been at odds with her family and hanging around an unsavory group of teenagers at the time of her disappearance. On November 22, 1997, Reena was found, unveiling a dark and unimaginable reality. Even the authorities were stunned by the ghastly account of what transpired beneath the Craigflower Bridge.
