There is a story of an old farmer who had worked his crops for many years.

One day his horse ran away. Upon hearing the news, his neighbors came to visit.

"Such bad luck," they said sympathetically.

"Maybe," the farmer replied.

The next morning the horse returned, bringing with it three other wild horses.

"How wonderful," the neighbors exclaimed.

"Maybe," replied the old man.

The following day, his son tried to ride one of the untamed horses, was thrown, and broke his leg.

The neighbors again came to offer their sympathy on his misfortune.

"Maybe," answered the farmer.

The day after, military officials came to the village to draft young men into the army.

Seeing that the son's leg was broken, they passed him by.

The neighbors congratulated the farmer on how well things had turned out.

"Maybe," said the farmer.

Forecasting 2016

Defining my Gross income goal for the year and then breaking that down by months and weeks as well as by prospects (i.e. potential customers0, sales calls, etc… So starting high and drilling down so that it doesn’t see so crazy and undoable… Now I have to figure out the marketing, funnels, etc… to get the potential customers into the door.

Call to action:

Super excited about this call to action… I discovered, thanks to my good friend Brian Shea, that for a few bucks more a month the email marketing application that I use: Called Active Campaign provides an SMS opt-in feature. Basically what that means is that I can provide you guys with a regular telephone number, which I’m about to do and a pin and when you text that number with the pin you can opt-in right over your phone to get on the StartupDad Newsletter list… Like I said I’m really excited to this bad boy out. So the call to action for this week is send me at text message at 646-495-9867 and enter pin startupdad in the text box and hit send. Prompted to provide the email you want to use for the opt-in and BAM! you’re in… It’s awesome!
