 Takeaway: Many people are astounded to learn there will be sacrifices in the 1,000 year reign of Christ. I propose this is because not all who are born in this time will believe on the Lord. The nations in the kingdom will be required to go up each year to worship and keep the feast of tabernacles. There will be those who don’t want to go, and they will be punished. This will later lead to the final insurrection. The priesthood in Israel carries forth the Law of God to the nations, and thus will be fulfilled the true meaning of the Great Commission. The great commission is really the commission of the new priesthood. This will be carried out during the millennial reign of Christ when Jesus actually exercises all power and all authority.

 Takeaway: The Younger Dryas was possibly the flood of Genesis 1:2. Three heavens resulted from God’s wrath pouring out on the earth, and the fallen angelic rebellion polluted the heavens. Noah’s flood was much more recent, according to the Scriptures. There is no need to push back the date of Noah’s flood to match the Younger Dryas. The word heaven in Hebrew, Samayim, contains the three heavens in plural, but it was not originally so. Just as Elohim is plural, but He is the God of creation composed of Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, so the word should be correctly translated as “heaven” in Genesis 1:1, foreshadowing the three heavens that God would form due to wrath.

 Takeaway: God sits upon many waters. This is symbolic of multiple things, but His throne is certainly above the frozen deep. This was the source of the waters in Genesis 1:2, and there is every reason to believe this was a flood upon the ungodly world of the angelic rebellion before Adam was created. The Younger Dryas was very possibly the flood of Genesis 1:2, which came from God out of the third heaven. Next week we will discuss why there is a third heaven when at first there was only one!
