In 1996 when he was 20 years old, Mark Philippoussis blasted onto the tennis scene at The Australian Open, when he destroyed Pete Sampras in the 3rd round.  He got to 8 in the world, reached 2 major finals, and helped lead Australia to 2 Davis Cup wins.

Mark and I talked in length about his frustrations re the pandemic restrictions in Melbourne, we talked about Stefanos Tsitsipas and his incredible potential. We talked about Nick Kyrios and Mark his shared his views of the Aussie media. We talked about the French Open Final and how rough Rafa is. We talked about Iga Swiatek and how women's tennis is on the move.

We talked about the good times and the bad times re his career, and how he came up after being blackballed as a junior by Aussie tennis, how a Fila deal jumpstarted his pro career and how you can't live in South Beach if you wanna be good. It was an awesome chat.
