In July 1997, an employee at a Starbucks in Washington D.C. arrived at work to find a horrific scene: the night manager, Mary Mahoney, along with two other employees, Emory Evans and Aaron Goodrich, had been murdered in the back room of the store. Two years later, the story aired on America’s Most Wanted, and a woman had a tip that would solve the case.

In February 2010, the 4 members of the McStay family - Joseph, Summer, Gianni, and Joseph Jr. - disappeared from their home in Fallbrook, CA. For the next several years, many believed they were voluntarily missing, but their family was sure they had met with foul play. When their bodies were found in November 2013, investigators revisited some suspects they initially talked to, but the man they ended up charging with the murders maintains his innocence to this day.

In the mid 1980s, five women were murdered in Honolulu, Hawaii by a serial killer that became known as “The Honolulu Strangler”. While no one has ever been charged in the case, one suspect who directly lead police to the last victim’s body is believed to be the killer. But unfortunately, Vicki Purdy, Regina Sakamoto, Denise Hughes, Louise Medeiros and Linda Pesce have never gotten justice.

Reena Virk was 14 years old when she went missing from Vancouver Island in British Columbia. She had been at odds with her family and hanging around an unsavory group of teenagers at the time of her disappearance. On November 22, 1997, Reena was found, unveiling a dark and unimaginable reality. Even the authorities were stunned by the ghastly account of what transpired beneath the Craigflower Bridge.
