In August of 2017, Derek appeared on Scott's podcast after Scott encouraged his followers to not support Marathon Investigation. They argued on social media and Scott dared Derek to come on The Ten Junk Miles Podcast. Davy came on to tell his story of his experience with Kelly Agnew. Kelly was famously disqualified after  skipping laps in a 24 hour race by hiding out in porta-poties. Kelly found himself in the news again after being charged with multiple counts of theft. Davy was friends with Kelly, and was one of the first to suspect and witness Kelly's behaviors. He tried to do everything he could to stop this behavior before reaching out to Marathon Investigation.
