For those who don't know. New Jersey's own, skateboarding LEGEND- Chris "Dune" Pastras has one of the most illustrious careers to date. From being right there with Rodney Smith & Shut Skates in its infancy. Being of the first riders on the infamous World Industries, to eventually starting his own brand with Jason Lee. This gentleman has done it all, and most importantly- done it with style & grace. We've had this interview in the works, for the last 2 years.. Feels good to say: Today, is the day.

Tune in, as Dune takes us back to his early days of skating both New Jersey & NYC. The history behind the infamous SHUT Skates, and his connection to The Godfather- Rodney Smith. We share hilarious cultural differences, between the East Coast & down South skating in the 80s. The importance of early Powell-Peralta videos, and influence of skateboarding LEGEND- Lance Mountain. We dig into what truly made 80's skateboarding art & culture so great. Growing up skating NJ's own- Tom Groholski's backyard ramp & throw in a random Mike V road trip story- you got one hell of a Part 1! Without further ado: Jersey, is officially in the building!!
