Today we talk with Backline Technician turned Herbalist and Lomi Lomi Practitioner Jamie Grime about the ancient Hawaiian practice of healing and how the world of plant medicine shifted his entire life. As a touring professional in the music industry for over ten years with people like Natasha Bedingfield, Melissa Etheridge and Babyface, Jamie found himself increasingly drawn to traditional plant-medicine practices for healing. 
Jamie has been vegan for over ten years, which has allowed him to connect more deeply with the spiritual practices he continues to deepen through his devotion and study. He is passionate about sharing the healing power of plants with clients to help them facilitate their own healing. 
He has studied Lomi Lomi and Romi Romi (a Maori healing bodywork practice) under the tutelage of Jeana Iwalani Naluai. Jamie doesn’t believe in marketing himself or his services, but if you’re on the island of Maui near the town of Haiku and you ask for a wise and gifted healer with a British accent, you should be able to find him.

Jamie Grime - Ancient Hawaiian Healing and Plant Medicines - #008

Driven by the desire to create a community centered around healing through the modalities of Yoga and Breathwork, Paul Ferrall is inspired to create a teaching model in the west where practitioners like himself can share the practices they’ve cultivated free of charge for those looking for something that can help them deal with the anxieties of everyday life. 
Paul’s belief that healing modalities like Breathwork and Yoga should be taught in community without a monetary exchange stems from a recent trip he took to Bali, where breathing and movement are part of the cultures everyday spiritual practices. Studies have shown that a sense of community is imperative for an individuals ability to heal. A community focused on healing through Breathworkcultivates compassion, non-judgment and empathy, which are all things that are necessary to facilitate an environment that promotes well being. 
The practice of Breathwork found Paul while he was working as a sales director for a private equity firm doing software sales for Fortune 500 Companies. Dealing with the pressures of a corporate setting created a necessity for Paul to find something that could help him create moments of peace throughout his day. 
He currently resides in Maui, Hawaii and offers private and group Breathwork or Yoga sessions. Paul believes that if he can help one person change their life for the better through breathing, then he’s done his job here on earth. Paul Ferrall - Creating Community Through Healing - #007

With over 20 years experience in the fitness industry, Mike has trained a wide variety of clients including professional athletes playing in the major leagues. The unique mindset he brings to physical fitness has allowed those he trains to achieve optimal result inside as well as outside the gym.

Since the fires that devastated Malibu last year, Marguerite has focused her time studying herbalism, Plant Spirit Medicine, Land Dowsing & Geomancy.
