What caused this huge increase in market activity? Well, the fact that interest rates are at historic lows was a major factor, as well as a leveling off in home prices. In 2015, economists are in unanimous agreement that interest rates will rise. By how much and when, we aren't sure, but most economists predict rates to rise by about 1% in the next year.
