Your Next Shift Nursing Career Podcast EPS 100 Well, my nursing brothers and sisters. We made it! Arrived at the 100th episode of the Your Next Shift nursing career podcast. And what a trip it has been! What we have done for the 100th episode celebration was taking a look at the past episodes over the years. We take a trip back down memory lane to revisit... Courtney from the I.V. League, who at the time of her recording was a nursing student headed for graduation! I am sure that Courtney has now since graduated and we hope that she has been tuning into the Your Next Shift podcast as a nurse, for career advice, inspiration, and tips. Hitting the complete opposite end of the spectrum, the exact opposite to nursing student... we visit with a nurse with more than 50 years of nursing career experience! Barbara Dossey, PhD, RN, AHN-BC, FAAN, HWNC-BC a holistic nursing pioneer, has published, presented, and done so much great work for the nursing profession. However, as you will hear in this episode, Barbara attributes her career success to the wonderful nursing colleagues and enormous amounts of professional collaboration that she has enjoyed over the past five decades. Then...             [Tweet "We cycle back to the #meninnursing who were fantastic guests on the #yournextshift #podcast"] Featured in the 100th episode highlight show is Clifton Joullian, R.N., B.S.N., The Nurse Farmer ™. Cliff talks about how gardening and farming and his early experiences in childhood shaped the nurturing nurse that he is in his nursing career. While close to all of the Your Next Shift interview guests have been nurses... there was one surprise thrown into the episode mix! David Bush, a coach who works with nursing professionals, could have fooled me! In fact- he did. I was unaware of the fact that he was NOT in fact a nurse. Having interacted with him on social media and in various discussion groups- the empathy, understanding, and compassion that he shows... Well, we might as well name him "honorary" nurse! And the winner goes to... Episode 076, Deanna Cooper Gillingham, RN, CCM! Deanna's episode was THE episode in my podcast hosting dashboard with the most downloads. From nursing advice to entrepreneurial tips in action- this interview has a little bit of something for every Your Next Shift listener. Excellent interview, Deanna and way to spread the word among nursing professionals worldwide! Moving right along... To the FUNNIEST and MOST RAW Mad Libs response yet... The two amazing nurses from The BirchTree Center for Healthcare, Marie Shanahan MA, BSN, RN, HN-BC and Veda Andrus EdD, MSN, RN, HN-BC VP make a dual appearance on episode 048. Now, I do not know who was in more shock at the response. Me, Marie, or Veda! You'll have to tune in to find out. Two Fantastic Nurses In episode 029, Barbara C Phillips, NP, FAAN (a nurse business owner and fellow podcaster herself) talks about the twists and turns that got her to her final landing stages of her career... in nursing! In episode 050, Michelle Longabaugh, RN, Sr. FCS had me on the edge of my seat! Why? It was like she was IN MY HEAD with her responses. Are we long lost twins separated at birth!?! A Patient Focused Clinical Spin We wrapped things up, checking in on Nurse Nacole Riccaboni. What I loved about this interview was the patient-focused, clinical take on nursing practice. Awesome information and loads of love for patient care! Well, that's all ladies and gents. Filled in with some ratings and reviews on iTunes (We'd love to receive more, if you have the time!) and my take on the past 100 episodes... this is a podcast filled with hard work, inspiring energy, and loads of love. Thank you for being a loyal listener to the Your Next Shift podcast. Stay tuned for the next 100 episodes!
