Amy’s mission is to bring the JOY of food to EVERYONE! She’s doing this by facilitating a cookery school that delivers transformative, hands on learning to her participants, all whist changing the conversation and perceptions of foodbanks, and the people that use them, starting with her hometown of Weston Super Mare.
The courses are run at her local foodbank, using the domestic kitchen on site. They are aimed at both foodbank clients and the local community to show case that good food doesn’t need to be expensive or wasted. Using excess fresh donations as part of the course, together they create a range of meals that are then handed out in foodbank emergency food parcels that week.
