It's easy to idealize the early church, but Acts 11 shatters all our idealism as we see Jewish Christians struggling to understand the true nature of the Gospel and salvation by sheer grace. The struggle will continue throughout the book of Acts. Indeed, the struggle to understand salvation by sheer grace is ongoing for all of us.
