On today’s show, we are traveling across the pond to England. I will chat with the author of Murder Investigation Team: How Killers Are Really Caught, retired Detective Inspector Steven Keogh.

DI Keogh spent over half of his 30-year police career as a Scotland Yard detective, hunting down terrorists and some of the worst murderers in London. For the final 12 years of his career, he was part of the investigations into over 100 homicides.

He achieved the rank of detective inspector and was a nationally recognized senior investigating officer (SIO). He was on Scotland Yard’s Anti-Terrorist Branch during the time of the London bombings on 7th July 2005.

In today’s episode we discuss:

·      Why do people kill?

·      What drew Steve to law enforcement?

·      Why and when he became a detective?

·      Popular myths and misconceptions regarding New Scotland Yard.

·      Steve’s time in the anti-terrorism branch of Scotland Yard.
