In today’s show, Carol interviews her father, Peter Wintermute, a serial entrepreneur with five-plus decades of business experience. 

We start this show with Peter recalling his life as a teenager. Peter shares his different experiences – some successful, and some not. His biggest regret, Peter reveals, is that he did not learn from his failures fast enough. 

Peter started his professional career by working in the garment business for a Jewish gentleman. And, this is when he got his accountancy degree which set the path for an incredibly successful career. Later, he set up his accountancy practice, and then eventually donned the hat of a serial entrepreneur. Peter shares that he was dedicated to investing in “strange and unique things”. 

How did Peter manage to successfully asses these myriad businesses, and muster up the courage to make huge investments? Was Peter’s family supportive of his adventurous choices? He shares how his upbringing instilled in him a sense of positivity and laid the foundation for a successful career as an entrepreneur. 

We talk quite a bit about how businesses can adjust to the new normal brought down upon us by the coronavirus outbreak.
